Lack of updates.. (edit: 6/12)

Been slacking on the art updates, I'm working on some larger projects that are taking a lot of boring development and some experimental paintings that aren't worth showing just yet. Here's a crop of another large drawing that isn't quite completed.
(Edit: Posted up a shot showing the rest of that drawing, it's about 18 inches tall.)

Thanks for stopping in, more stuff real soon!

Hey Kyler - Just finished checking out your blog, really rad stuff, love your painting technique. Didn't we meet in person at the Illustration Academy? I think through Sarah Watts.

Hey man,
This image is killer. Can't wait to see the final. Yeah, Cherrylion is amazing. I love working there, and I just started the SCAD GRADUATE PAINTING program, so I'm only like 3 minutes from work. I'm pretty busy working and going to school right now, but I will be more active in the coming weeks and definitely in the summer. Whenever I'm going gallery hopping or something, I'll let you know though.

Peace,
Joe

killer drawing dude. ton's of energy here.

son house and bukka white are nice. hands down. i just got a muddy waters dvd recently. i think it's from 74'. but he has buddy guy and junior wells backing him. it's gold man.

about the mid-nineties hiphop though, good call on those albums. How about the videos. Didn't Method Man play the Riddler or something and 2Pac was riding on a motorcycle down a fashion show runway? Ha!

I may get called on this but I think Biggies' Life After Death and Wu-Forever should have been a one disc record rather than a double album. self-indulgence at it's best!

You're the king of drawing emaciated men. Love it.

I really feel like these last few drawings are just like the way you paint....In an awesome way! Also, I'm with Chris on the finish of this drawing. It's got such a great feeling as it stands!

So ghostly. So ghoulish.

This is an incredibly evocative image, even in its unfinished state!

Searching lines are one of my favorite things to see in an artists work, they are a great way to show time with out the use of sequential images!

Even if you are not attempting to illustrate it, the image actually is a recording of the passage -o- time through visable process...
